About Retreat Block and Brick

Retreat Block and Brick was established in 2006 after realising a demand for high quality building material at affordable prices in the southern suburbs of Cape Town. With 15 years’ experience in building industry, we understood the frustration many contractors and homeowners faced when trying to source locally produced, quality material which fell within their budgets.

We started with one brick making machine and began manufacturing and selling approximately 1200 bricks per month. With our production standards high, prices low and with our offer for same day delivery, the sales of our bricks took off. Soon our clients were requesting we expand our product range.

While maintaining our efforts in producing and supplying the most durable, high-end, and affordable range of cement bricks in the Cape, we then started production on blocks, vibracrete and paving. Since then we have expanded our product range to over 30 building products and employ and have upskilled many members of the community. We have also assisted with over 1800 renovations and DIY projects to maximise their budgets and achieve their project goals on time.

All of our products are manufactured on our premises or sourced locally so that we always have stock available. This also allows us to offer an unrivalled low selling price. We also provide specialist advice with our free expert advice service to all novice DIY enthusiasts or builders.

Orders are always inspected before leaving our premises and when offloading at the customer’s property.
